Continuous free-standing tatting edges ~AND~ tatted collar designs done in the machine embroidery hoop! I used a regular weight (40 wt.) embroidery thread for all designs shown in this set.
Click for a larger view.	Tatted collars done with a finished edge ~and~ done with a header so you can stitch them into your collar. I have templates so you can cut your fabric accurately to fit these. Plus I have the same tatting edge done as free-standing tatting so you can make it as long or as short as you want. Use these to make your own collars or any other projects you want. This has a header in it. Let me know if you would like for me to make the continuous free-standing tatting edges done so they can connect directly onto your fabric and I'll make those for a future set if I get enough requests. This collar is a very pale yellow light fabric - 2 layers. The tatting is attached directly onto the fabric and it also has a finished edge. It is all set to be attached to the rest of your garment. Or you can stitch the inside edge closed, add a clasp and wear it "as is". I got the collar pattern shape from here. Be sure to look at her cute projects - one done with faux fur. Click for a larger view.	Although you can't really tell in this picture, this is 2 layers of fabric. It is all done in the hoop - 2 hoopings and has a finished edge for the outside edges of the fabric. I have it for the 8-inch (200x200 mm) hoops and for the 6x10 inch (150x240 and 160x260 mm) hoops. The neck opening is ~11 inches. I used a 40-weight rayon thread for this one. Complete instructions included.
Click for a larger view.	I made this one with a header. It also comes with a template that you can print off to cut out your fabric. Then just insert the tatting right into the seam. I plan to use the fabric you see behind the tatting to make my collar. You can leave the stabilizer in (I will trim the stabilizer a bit closer to the header edge) until you get the seam done. Then rinse it out. Or you can rinse right away. This one won't have the finished edge. The neck opening is ~11 inches. I used a 40-weight polyester thread. Instructions included.
Click for a larger view.	Here are the 2 different templates. One is for the collars done with the finished edges (the one in the back) and the other is for the collars with the header row. It has the extra seam allowance needed. Complete instructions included.
Click for a larger view.	This shows the continuous free-standing tatting edge designs. If you look closely, you can see where they overlap (on the right). I can only tell that because there is double stitching on the header row and the stabilizer is overlapped a bit. These are really easy to line up. I used polyester thread. It looks like it should be hard but it isn't. Complete instructions included.
