Tatting done in the hoop! This is easy for you to stitchout and have beautiful tatted edges ~AND~ completely free standing tatting too. Complete instructions included. This tatting is quite intricate. Use a wing needle for an heirloom entredeux look on the edge. Or use your regular embroidery needle.
Ask if you are not sure if the designs will fit your hoop size.

Scalloped tatting edge
designs done in the hoop! This scalloped edge is easy to add to any fabric edge like I did on the heavy-weight linen table center that I made. It is completely reversible when you use the same thread in the bobbin. This set of designs has more intricate tatting designs. Also available as completely free standing to add directly to your linens! Complete instructions are included so you can stitch out these designs just like my project. |

This was done for the 8x8
inch hoops. Since I didn't use a "traditional" fabric, I didn't
use the wing needle for the edges or the entredeux center. This
one is really rich looking. This one has lots of picots. And it is VERY EASY to do! |

These designs fit a 4x4 inch hoop
and are done 2 ways - less picots on the edge or with more picots along
the edges. They are completely free_standing tatting. VERY EASY! |

Here is the tatting edge on my big project. I added water soluble stabilizer on the edge (on the top) just before the last color stitched to help keep my heavy-weight linen edge in place. |

Another spot of the tatting edge on the same project. I did NOT add the water soluble stabilizer on the top for this one section when I was stitching it out. It is OK - but not nearly as clean looking as when I used the extra layer on top as shown above. |

Here is an edge that I did on some Kiwi paper. This was done with
the completely free-standing tatting edge. I had it lightly
catch the edge of the paper for a card. It works great! The Kiwi paper is water
proof so I was able to just rinse out the stabilizer. This would
work great on any of your towels or anything that you wanted to add an
intricate tatting edge. This is the BACK of the tatting! As you can see, it is beautiful on the back too when you use the same thread in the bobbin. |

This is going on my dinning room table. It is just beautiful. I soaked all the stabilizer out and the tatting edge is soft. |
