Completely free-standing tatting designs done in the machine embroidery hoop! These angels are about 2-3/4 inches tall. These are the little sisters to the 4-inch Tatting 83 Angels. These angles are done 6 ways. One is done without a halo (like her naughty sister), one has a halo and is "plain". Three different styles of Mylar and one is done with crystals. All designs on this page are completely free standing. These are free-standing designs. I used a regular weight (40 wt.) embroidery thread for all designs shown in this set.

Click for a larger view.	Here is a comparison of the sizes. The one on the left (not included) is the Tatting 83 Angel done with red crystals. The one on the right is her "little sister" done with crystals. Do you see the family resemblance? Complete instructions included. VERY EASY
Click for a larger view.	This one is done with Mylar. It doesn't have a "fill" for the Mylar. It really shows the Mylar off. Mylar 1 VERY EASY
Click for a larger view.	I did this one with metallic threads by Floriani. It stitched great! This one is done without a halo. VERY EASY - just stitch on wash away stabilizer, rinse and dry flat.
$Free-standing Tatted Angel at Murphy\'s Designs$ Click for a larger view.	This is the "plain" angel with a halo. It is so very EASY to stitch. Use wash away stabilizer like Vilene, rinse and dry flat. That is it! You can do this one without the halo if you want. Just skip the first color. I used polyester thread for this one.
Click for a larger view.	I made this one to use with Mylar. This one has a lower stitch count for the fill that covers the Mylar. Fits 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) hoop. I used 40-weight rayon thread. Mylar 2 Complete instructions included. VERY EASY!
Click for a larger view.	The Mylar in this one has a heavier fill to cover the Mylar. I used a lighter shade of thread for the pattern on the Mylar and a shimmer metallic thread for the halo. You can make them the same as the tatting if you like. The Mylar really shines like jewels on these. You can use a light-weight thread for the Mylar cover if you like (nothing heavy). But be sure to use regular 40-weight thread for the tatting. I used rayon thread. Mylar 3 VERY EASY!
Click for a larger view.	I really like to make my tatting with white thread. This is a polyester thread. You can add the crystals to the back also if you like so that it will be completely reversible. The crystals I used will shine many different colors. But the basic color of these is a beautiful shade of blue. I used metallic thread for her halo. VERY EASY!
