Completely free-standing tatting designs done in the machine embroidery hoop! These crosses are done 4 ways. One is done with less picots around the outside edge, one done with more picots around the edges. One is done with less picots and Mylar and one is done with more picots and Mylar. All designs on this page are completely free standing. These are free-standing designs. I used a regular weight (40 wt.) embroidery thread for all designs shown in this set. |

I added some extra stability to the top
and bottom picot so these can be used as bookmarks if you want to add a
tassel like I did. I did this one with gold metallic thread. This is the "plain" cross with less picots around the outside edges. All these designs use regular 40-weight embroidery thread. Complete instructions included. VERY EASY |

I am holding a "plain" cross done with
more picots around the outside edges. VERY EASY - just stitch on wash away stabilizer, rinse and dry flat. You can add a tassel if you want. |

I made this one with
Mylar and metallic thread. The Mylar shines just like jewels! Complete instructions included. VERY EASY! You can't use the crosses with Mylar to make the "plain" crosses. They just will not hold together properly if you try that. |
