Want the look of
traditional tatting but can't master the technique with a shuttle or
needle? Now you can make them easily with my designs and your
embroidery machine. These are very fine and delicate free-standing tatting designs done in the machine embroidery hoop! Add to your favorite projects. Great for babies and doll clothes. They are very easy to do. Use 60 wt or finer threads for these. All instructions included. This picture is all 5 sizes (with headers) done as a continuous piece. All instructions included so you can easily stitch these out in your hoops. I use Mettler cotton 60 wt thread for this. It gave a traditional look to the tatting. The thread was linty so I had to clean out my bobbin area often while working with this thread. But it turned out beautiful. I also have these designs done without the headers so you can stitch them directly onto your fabric. |

This beautiful small hanky is done completely in the 8 inch hoop. Use 60 wt thread or finer. I used an 80 wt cotton (Madeira Cotona). |

I did the hanky with purple 100 wt silk (YLI) thread. It is very delicate and fine. The silk threads run very smoothly. |

This is the tatting that I used in the card. This is a close up so you can see the details. This design has finished ends so you can just stitch them and insert into your project - no need to combine parts. Done with and without the header. |

Here is the inside of the card. I used another piece of Mulberry paper to sandwich the tatting. I used velum for the picture of the rose. This is a picture I took a couple of years ago of the roses on our deck. The card turned out so pretty and the tatting edge gave it just the right look. |

I have listed the threads I used for each one. I used a Size 60 needle for all my stitching. 5 sizes - 4x4 inch hoops (Tire 50 wt silk- a bit too heavy) 5x7 inch hoops (80 wt Madeira Cotona cotton) 8 inch (length) hoops (60 wt Madeira Rayon Toledo) 6x10 inch hoops (100 wt YLI silk) 7x12 inch hoops (60 wt Mettler cotton) I think the 60 wt rayon (Madeira Toledo) and the 100 wt silk (YLI) stitched the easiest. |
